THE MISSION RESILIENT FRAMEWORK

MIND

A resilient mindset is made up of four key skills and qualities

MINDFULNESS

Pay attention to the present. Observe your thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations without judgment.

SELF-AWARENESS

Recognize and understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Take note of how they impact you and others around you.

ATTITUDE

Take radical ownership. You are responsible for how you respond. Move forwards with grit and tenacity. Say yes to the challenge.

ADAPTABILITY

Be open, flexible, and ready to change tack. Take feedback that leads to changes in direction. Pivot as needed.

What are the needs of the day? Learn, push through, pivot, plan?

HEART

A resilient heart is made up of four types of connection

LOVE

Cultivate your closest relationships with family and friends. Strong relationships are built on give and take: time, energy, support, understanding. Maintain strong boundaries so you can give wholeheartedly.

COMMUNITY

Cultivate diverse connections through shared purpose and interests. Get to know people who live differently from you, and who hold different beliefs and opinions. Work together on shared projects.

CHARITY

Giving is grounding and empowering. Connect with those less fortunate and cultivate gratitude through acts of service. Assess your gifts against real needs and notice how much you have to offer.

LAND

Make time to connect with nature, country, place. Breathe fresh air, feel sunlight on your skin, and humble yourself to the elements. You are here today because your ancestors were survivors.
